Hourly wage: $17.00 per hour

Overtime: Slight

Overtime details: Very slight chance of any overtime. Do not expect it. Any overtime must be approved by management.

Estimated hours per day: 32 hrs a week

Number of days per week: 5-6 days per week

Job Description :

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide excellent guest service while performing cashiering duties.
  • Organize and maintain appearance of assigned retail outlet.
  • Listen and respond to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice. Answer questions and offer assistance to provide guest satisfaction. Relay accurate information to guests regarding hours of operation, Hotel services, directions to local attractions or function rooms, car rentals, airline shuttle service, etc.
  • Receive payment from guests in the form of cash, credit cards, room charges and comp slips; make change as needed, verify validity of charges, record charges and ensure vouchers are properly executed in order to properly balance all monetary transactions.
  • Make deposits/cash drops, complete appropriate cashier paperwork/reports, balance and secure bank.
  • Keep shop organized and neat in appearance i.e., dust, straighten, stack, etc.
  • Check all incoming stock against invoices to make sure that the correct quantities are being received.
  • Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills to productively deal with guests and team members at all levels of the company.
  • Possess a strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability of simple reading, writing, math, and task completion skills is required.
  • Must have the following skills: instructing, following instructions, and independent judgment.
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Previous retail experience is preferred or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES

  • Must be able to maintain appropriate Alcohol Awareness card.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly standing, walking, frequently reaching overhead, bending over, crouching, kneeling, and occasionally climbing, and balancing during the duration of their shift.
  • Must be able to lift/carry and push/pull 50lbs or less occasionally.
  • The team member will constantly have repetitive use of both feet, hands, light and firm/strong grasping motions. Finger dexterity of both hands will be constantly required.
  • Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work performed indoors, alone and frequently with and around others. Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact with others on extended shifts around computer equipment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be quiet or loud at times.
  • Team member may be exposed to confined areas, dirt/dust, and secondhand smoke.
